Private Events

Want a custom event?  A private party? Celebration?

I am often asked if I offer private sessions – for groups or individuals – and the answer is YES!  I LOVE THESE SESSIONS. Examples include:

Red Thread Circles: for Weddings or “Life Celebrations.” where love and intentions and heard and shared.

Intentional Creativity ‘Short Sessions’: These are great for family and/or friend gatherings/parties. They are customized for your situation.  A delightful creativity session of fun and purpose.

Corporate Team Building: using Intentional Creativity to foster greater cohesiveness in working together for a common goal.

Mandala painting sessions  – a 2-3 hour session where we paint 4-6” mandalas. In truth, the first time I was asked to do a mandala session like this (4″ mandalas) with 40+ women, I thought it would be fun, but possibly a little hokey – and humbly I say it was incredibly profound.  I have since gone on to do many more of these ‘mini’ mandala sessions with great joy and sweetness.  When seeing these women years later I will often hear “I still have my mandala in a prominent place.”

Laurel’s retirement and mandala painting party.

What Happens in one of my workshops?

Sharing time and space for a workshop is such a joyous opportunity to connect.  Whether on line or in person – we start with a Red Thread Circle of connection – generally having the opportunity to introduce ourselves and a few sentences about “what brought us here” or “what is arising right now?”

From there we go to the table or the easel – all your supplies are set up and waiting for you.  There are many different styles of workshops – so this part varies.  Depending on the process there is often a guided visualization.  There are clear instructions, we connect with the canvas or the page,  we write our intention on the canvas, and we go into whatever process we are embracing for the event.  There are further instructions and demos, and any questions are answered as needed.

You can’t get it wrong!!! You are supported in whatever way is needed.  My style is to not hover – I trust when you need help you will ask – though I will definitely ask “does anyone need anything.” We take breaks to journal and rest as needed. Some of the processes have a number of steps – so notice is generally given when we will move to the next step in “x” number of minutes.  In person, there will be a table of teas, water, and snacks for nourishment – and almost always there is chocolate – because the MUSE LOVES CHOCOLATE!

At the end there is a closing circle where every one is invited to share (never mandatory).

The idea and intention is gentle loving support for you to have the experience you are ready for.

Recently I had the opportunity to offer a Mandala session for a friend/student who wanted to gather her friends for her 65th birthday and everyone’s gift to her would be the painting of a mandala (with intention for her) and then her life partner would make a frame for all of these mandalas to go into and be hung in their home –  filled with the love and intention of her friends (36 6″x6″mandalas total.)
